Food and service were both excellent! Portions were generous for the price (at least for someone used to Raleigh prices).
Fyi, the pork buns are more like mini sandwiches than steamed buns. They're great, though!
One of my favorite places in Rocky Mount. The food and service are always top quality. I appreciate the range of menu items to include sushi, hibachi, along with a good selection of Thai food and other items.
Nice place with a great atmosphere, fast service, all the music is instrumental and fresh sushi. Unfortunately they don't serve broccoli and the carrots wasn't desired in my vegetables. Surf & turf torched sushi is delicious & I also tried the sweet potato sushi was different. However it needed more sweetness for the sweet potato. The steak and salmon hibachi was cooked to perfection.
My wife and I found this place on Google two days ago and since we were going to be in the area we decided to try it out. Walking in The atmosphere was nice and the service was outstanding. We were seated very promptly. The miso we had tasted good and the server was patient with my wife. She doesn't eat sushi nearly as much as I do. The pad thai was acceptable. The sushi rolls we had didn't seem the freshest. Both rolls had spicy tuna as an ingredient. Can't say it was that however my wife and I both are home from work sick today. The presentation was well executed. Just not worth the risk.
1st Authentic Japanese experience in the U.S. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and overall calming. Our server was amazing. This is our Official Spot whenever we're in the area. Well worth the drive.
Take out generals chicken really disappointed me today. Had 5 orders and each order could barely feed a child. I have this dish a lot and it never disappoints. Also asked for fried rice got white rice…. I eat here every week. I’m so disappointed with take out portions. Really let’s us down here.
This is a new restaurant that I found on Yelp during my visit back home. There is ample parking in the large parking lot shared by other department stores. My cousin and I dined in for her Birthday celebration. It's nicely decorated inside. There weren't any pleasantries upon entering.
After sitting down we were taken aback that this Japanese restaurant is not serving alcohol, not even sake. Strange! They start you out with soup which was a nice warm treat.
Starters: we had the calamari and pork bun. No complaints. The pork was tender and flavorful.
Sushi: Tokyo sushi was delicious.
The second sushi roll I ordered came out with avocado in it, which I'm allergic to and I made this very clear and asked that the avocado be replaced with cucumber during ordering. There wasn't any urgency to potentially cause an allergic reaction. This is very concerning for me since allergic reactions are life-threatening.
My cousin ordered a noodle bowl and asked for extra cheese at the time of ordering. The cheese was completely disregarded and came without the cheese. She asked for the cheese again. Then the server was like we don't put cheese in that dish. Why not say this during order processing? It was never brought out until the mix-up with my sushi, which at that time her noodles were cold.
Everyone seems confused more than apologetic. The empathy was delayed by scrambling around trying to find out the mix-up instead of apologizing for the mistake. The price of that roll was removed and towards the end there were apologies. This restaurant can use a lot of coaching and development on how to provide basic customer service to its customers. I also feel that this restaurant opened prematurely and should've worked a Lil harder on the logistics of the Alcohol license because at a minimum they should have sake at a Japanese restaurant. Not a good look!
Nice upscale cozy restaurant right on the strip. I love the feng shui of the spot. The girl was on the phone when I first walked in… so I wasn’t properly greeted but then my waitress came over about 5 mins later and seated me.
The restaurant is clean, neat and quiet. My waitress was great, she made sure I was covered the entire time I was there. She answered all the questions I had about the menu.
I like that they separate your noodles and rice. The scallops were huge! The chicken & scallops were seasoned well. It’s a pretty hefty plate. I saved the other half of my plate of the next day. So you are definitely getting a bang for your buck. I love the lighting and the booth seats. The chefs were courteous and polite as well. I’m Definitely coming back. I hope this place is here to stay.
